Building smaller lists for specific niches can be very profitable. They are more targeted and highly responsive. It is well worth the time and effort spent building them. Building smaller, more targeted lists There are many ways of building highly responsive niche lists. Using more than one could help you build your niche lists quickly. Below are three of the best ways to do this. ? Forums. Forums are very good for finding potential subscribers in specific niches. To find the forums you want, simply type your niche + forum into the search box of your preferred search engine and you will have many choices to check out. Select several, register and begin posting. Use a signature that includes a link to your niche site relevant to the forum that has a very visible sign - up form to subscribe to your newsletter or e - zine. Don’t expect to start getting sign - ups right away. Take time to establish yourself in the forums by posting several times. This allows other posters to get to know and trust you. Once they do subscribe, don’t disappoint them. Give them good, solid tips and high value product offers related to that niche. For instance, you would not want to give tips and product offers on dog training, no matter how good, to subscribers whose passion is bird watching. Stick to the niche. ? Giveaways. Though it may not seem like it, this can be a very good way to build your niche lists. Sign up as a contributor with a specific niche product and make use of a squeeze page. In this case you will want to have a confirmation link sent to the subscriber rather than just redirecting them straight to the download page. After they confirm their subscription, they will get a welcome e - mail with the download link. This will eliminate most of the tire kickers because they most likely won’t bother with the double opt - in confirmation link. Those that go through the double opt - in process are very interested in your niche product. ? Ebay. Again, this may seem like an unlikely way of building your niche lists. But it can result in very targeted, highly responsive subscribers. Select products that are specific to your niches and that you own out right. List them on Ebay and keep careful track of all the bidders, especially those who bid more than once and, of course, the winning bidder. Send them a message asking if they would be interested in other products in that niche. Those who answer in the positive can be invited to subscribe to your list. Since they were interested in your product on Ebay, they will be highly responsive to your other offers in that same niche. Targeting your market Your subscribers are only interested in products specific to the niche list they are on. Don’t make the mistake of trying to offer products that are off - niche. You want to target your products to very specific niches. This is the essence of targeting your market. If you offer an e - book on fly - fishing to your list interested in vintage motorcycles, you will lose many subscribers. Keep on target and aim for the bull's eye. That is the way to have a win - win situation in your niche list building.
